Where is practice? Practices are held at Summerwood Central Pool.

What time is practice and how long is it? Practice is held by age group. Please try to have your swimmer/s at the pool ready at least 5 minutes before practice starts.

6 and under 4:30 – 5:00 pm 

7-8 year olds 5:00 – 5:45 pm 

9-10 year olds 5:45 – 6:30 pm 

11-12 year olds 12 6:30 – 7:15 pm 

13 and older 7:15 – 8:15 pm

Where do I park for practices and do I have to stay for practices? You can drop your swimmer off and then park at the Elementary school if you'd like to watch practice or come back when practice is over. We will be enforcing the no parking at the pool rule. This is from our HOA and we will be in violation of our contract if we park onsite. If you are dropping off please communicate with your swimmer to wait for you outside the main gate or another pickup location. Swimmers can also walk or bike. Bikes need to be secured to the bike racks outside the pool fence.  

Can I watch practice? Parents of 6 and under swimmers can watch inside the pool fence but must stay in the area under the blue canopies. The area between the pool and the baby pool is for coaches. No one is allowed in the baby pool during practices. Please do not interact with your swimmer during practices. What does my swimmer need for practice? Please write your swimmer's name on one of his/her arms, even returning swimmers, as we have new coaches. All swimmers should have goggles, fins, and a kickboard labeled with his/her name. Buoys and paddles are optional for 13 and older swimmers. Caps are optional for all.

Are swimmers expected to come to every practice? Swimmers are not expected at every practice. You do not need to email us if your swimmer will be missing practice.

Do we practice in the rain? Practices are held in the rain. We will delay/cancel practice if there is lightning. Download the Swimtopia app so you can get alerts to changes in practices.
