Our Junior Coaches are an important part of our team! Thank you for considering!
- Skilled swimmer on Summerwood Stingrays
- High School age swimmer for the younger swimmers to look up to
- Able to provide explanations and demonstrations to younger swimmers on technical strokes
- Desire to develop younger swimmers in their skills, sportsmanship and character
Responsibilities:
- Supporting practice as directed by the coaches
- At least two days per week helping the coaches with the 6U and 8U swimmers (can help with other groups as well)
- In the water demonstrating skills and helping swimmers develop their skills
- On deck providing guidance and explanation of strokes to swimmers
- Helping swimmers stay focused on coaches and drills during practice
- At meets, support and encourage younger swimmers!
Junior Coaches can accrue volunteer hours signed off by our coach, gain experience needed to be a future assistant coach and use this experience on future resumes/applications!
Junior coach volunteer hours do not fulfill the required family volunteer shifts.
