Divisionals Tomorrow!

Good afternoon Stingrays!!

This Saturday is our Divisional meet against the other five teams in White 1. Because there will be more swimmers, the meet is structured a bit differently with warm up times and volunteer shifts. Swimmers need to arrive at 6:25 am. Please read this email carefully and reach out with questions.

If your swimmer won't be attending but did RSVP attending please text ASAP at (832) 260-4121 and we will let the coaches know.


Pre-Meet Timeline

5:00am: Summer Creek High School opens for setup

6:25am: Swimmer check-in - at team area in cafeteria

6:55am-7:20am: SMW warm-ups lanes 1-4

7:30am: Officials Meeting in Hospitality Room

8:00 Ready Bench Meeting (those working the ready bench meet at ready bench area)

8:10: Events #1 and #2 to the ready bench

8:15: Timer/Scribe Meeting (behind the blocks)

8:15: Final Call Events #1 and #2 to ready bench

8:25: National Anthem

8:30: Start the meet! Event #1

Volunteer Shifts

The DJ will announce the different volunteer shifts. Please pay attention and go to your post when called so the meet runs smoothly.

First Shift – Events 1 – 30

Second Shift – Events 31 – 56

Third Shift – Events 57 – 86

Things to Remember:

  • Swimmer Check In and Volunteer Check in will be in the Team Set up Area. SMW is team area 1 below, and check-in table is along the walkway area highlighted in yellow.
  • To help the meet run quickly, please write swimmer events, heats and lanes on their LEFT arms (as pictured below) to help the ready bench! Heat sheets are uploaded in Swimtopia.

  • Bring your chairs, but no tents are allowed inside the building. We will have a team set up area where we can all sit together and help get kids to the ready bench when their events are called. There are also some spots along the hallway as noted in the map below which are first come/first serve for all of the teams. They are taped in yellow along that hallway.
  • No set up or coolers are allowed in the stands. It will be full of people coming in and out to watch the swimmers. There is minimal room. We will be relying on people to watch their swimmer and leave to allow the next spectators to come in. Even if you have a swimmer in the next event, remember there are several heats of each event. No standing in front of the bleachers, as it can block views.
  • Any protests should be brought to Tracey Schaap, our Team Rep. She is the proper channel to handle issues. Results are not valid in the app until they are verified by officials.
  • There will be several food trucks in attendance and they will be setup outside the cafeteria.
  • Only swimmers and personnel are allowed on deck.
  • If a swimmer missed their event, go to the Coach immediately to try and get placed into an event.
  • Please report to your Volunteer positions promptly. Please do not leave your Volunteer position until your replacement arrives and you have shared duty information.
  • Please clean up your area outside and in the stands.
  • Results will be uploaded within an hour of the meet ending. You must let us know if you are attending an end of season invitational and what events you want to be in and pay for the events. Please have this done by Saturday night. Sunday morning we will be turning in meet entries.

Set up will be in the cafeteria (we are team 1 in the diagram below) and hallway. Please set up in taped off designated areas. Please note the distance between the setup area and the natatorium. Be prepared to get your steps in.

The following food and drink trucks will be at divisionals for your hunger and thirst needs - menus included as well.
