We are happy to announce the water issue at the clubhouse is resolved and that we will be able to practice tonight (as long as the weather cooperates)! Please read all of the important reminders included in this email!

Practice Reminders

A few reminders and housekeeping items are below. Please note that many of these are stipulated by our contract and/or our relationship with the Summerwood HOA - which is very important that we keep in good standing so that we can continue to have swim team for years to come!

• Park at Summerwood Elementary. Spots around the clubhouse MUST be kept available for residents using the gym/facilities. No street parking on any nearby streets. This is in our HOA contract and is important for our relationship with them.
• Do not prop the pool gate open! The HOA Board gets alerts when we prop the gate so please do not use a brick or anything else to prop it. If you have a Summerwood key fob, it's time to get it out and put it in your swim bag!
• All parents and siblings must remain outside the pool gates. The only exception to this is for 6 & under practice. If you have swimmers in 6 & under and 7-8s, you must exit the gates once 6&U is over. Bring lawn chairs if you'd like to stay and watch. We know this is hard, but it's important to keep the pool deck safe and free from distraction.
• No one is allowed in the baby pool.
• Do not leave children unsupervised. Siblings should not wait unsupervised through their sibling’s practices. Swimmers are able to wait inside the gate for their practice to start during transition times only - but please make sure they know not to swim in the baby pool or disrupt the current practice. We are having too many issues with kids being disruptive during practice. This takes away the coaches’ focus from the swimmers who are practicing.
• Do not approach or try to talk with the coaches during practice. Any issues regarding your swimmer can be communicated via email. You can find the coaches’ email addresses here.
• No pictures are allowed behind the starting blocks.

The weather can change quickly - Friday looks especially iffy this week. Make sure you have the Swimtopia app downloaded with alerts and notifications on. That is how we will communicate any changes or cancellations. If you have any issues with the app, feel free to reach out.
